Short of complete and total occupation, there is no viable military solution to the situation in Iraq. Iraq has reached a turning point (it actually reached it some time ago). Just as only Moderate Islam can defeat Extremists Islam, only Iraq can win in Iraq now. We can certainly assist, but assisting with more troops is not the answer.

The President is the Commander in Chief. If he needs more troops in Iraq so be it. Democrats can whoop, and holler, rant, and rave, and do a jungle dance, but they cannot tell the President how to conduct a war, or cut the funding. They do not have enough seats in the House, or Senate to stop or defund anything.

What good is it doing, all of our family and friends are dying over a war that's never going to be won. The President won't send his bratty children, over to Iraq. The question is WHY SHOULD WE? And also, will it ever change? What will it change? All I'm saying is send your children prepare for a funeral.

Because they need to come back home to be with their families and they have been over there to long and shouldnt have been over there in the first place.

Has anyone here talked to the troops personally? Or do you just go by what is on TV? Do you know that many of the Marines have VOLUNTEERED to go the second and third time because they BELIEVED they were making a difference? Maybe you should think about them before you declare the war "lost" while they are still giving their lives in Iraq. We should give them whatever they need while Congress debates about the politics.

I think we should send enough soldiers to defeat the enemies. And then the soldiers should not be praised as heroes, they are doing the job the enlisted for. The only difference between soldiers and everybody else is the severity of their "bad day at work".

Let the military handle the war and tell the politicians hands off. The Democrates are too dumb to see beyond their noses. They and the liberal media are against anything President Bush. They are so vindictive to him and they think the average American cannot see the truth. We have the best military in the world. Let them win this war. They can do it.

get out now. Bush's argument or comparison of VietNam (my war) is not valid. He started the stupid thing and wants to keep it going the man refuses to accept reality and the death toll mounts both in american and iraqi blood.
