The war against terrorism will not be won by military force. The only thing that can defeat radical Islam is moderate Islam reclaiming its religion, and right now that's not happening. As long as peaceful, moderate Muslims remain silent, radical Islam will continue to flourish. Unfortunately, I think radical Islam, or at least that population of Muslims who support the goals of radical Islam, is in the majority.

The was has always been a sham. It's perfectly reasonable to attack those who attacked us, but that wasn't Iraq (and it's not Iran either).

When the President of the U.S., the so-called leader of the "Free World", says that Article 3 of the Geneva Convention is wide open to interpretation because the term "human indignities" doesn't define anything, we are in deep trouble.

Sometimes, you can't wait to be attacked. To think that preemptive strikes are somehow unjust is simply ridiculous and naive. Perhaps in hindsight, the Iraqi regime was less of a threat than originally thought, but once we made the move, we obligated ourselves into finishing the job. Does that mean that we must "stay the course"? Not necessarily. But we do need to finish the job. If that means more troops, less troops, international help, splitting the provinces, or whatever, we mustn't leave the place in crumbles. That's not negotiable. However, complaining about what happened 3 years ago doesn't solve any of the current problems. Someone needs to start offering some solutions other than "get the troops out".

this is the most worthless war we have gotten ourselves in. Bush will go down in history as the worst president in history.

The War on terroriam can be won we just have to get together as Americans and stop putting down our President. He has a very difficult job and the democrats are not helping us at all with their brickering about losing all the time. Our service men are great and doing what is needed just give them our support and things will work out right for all concerned.
